Stranger, you were.
Another look …
And you never looked strange.
It was sheer ecstasy
I wished to look at you again and again.
An observer I am sure must be calling me stupid.
I didn’t find it awkward and I never pretend.
You didn’t feel uncomfortable.
It was all casual
No guilt, sentiments or attachment.
When it all began
You were shaken, nervous, unsure…
Rare in a man.
You described me best
And I was swept, typically woman
We talked and talked for hours
Until we slept
I didn’t have your number
Nor did I know your name…
It wasn’t hedonism
I would call it intimacy
And you see
While I was smiling through memories
We bumped into each other again…
Seasons have passed and we are together
I will call our meeting a ‘life time stand’
Though it all started with a One Night Stand
